12:00pm – James Klages/Dakota Prairie Guide Services – “I feel the need, the need for speed! (Tapping the predator response for fish)

James Klages is the Owner & Operator of Dakota Prairie Guide Service. They offer affordable and personalized guided walleye fishing and pheasant hunting experiences. Originally James is from Ortonville, MN and moved to the Chamberlain area in 1996. He grew up on a farm east of Ortonville and thanks to his father who was an avid outdoorsman, he began hunting and fishing at a very young age. Because of this, hunting and fishing are more than a hobby for him; it is an obsession. That obsession has allowed James to gain vast knowledge and experience on how to fish for all species of fresh water fish, hunt upland game birds, deer, turkey, and water fowl.

1:30pm – Scott Olson His topic is “Using location and technology on the ice”

Scott Olson is a resident of Rapid City, SD and know the waters of the Black Hills very well. Ice fishing is his passion and he’s always looking to share it plus his knowledge to help others be more successful on the ice. Being on a number of pro staffs with companies in the business, including Clam Outdoors and Vexilar, allows Scott these kinds of opportunities to share this passion with others. He targets a wide range of species, but wants to catch whatever shows up on his Vexilar. With so many different kinds of fish present here in the Hills, it is a paradise on ice for anyone who wants to enjoy fishing in the area. Scott is a proud supporter of many ice fishing organizations and hope that anyone who hasn’t experienced one of fastest growing areas of fishing will go out and try it!
